The horrible taste is still in my mouth months later!

We visited Sekisui after purchasing the '25 dollar coupon' for ten dollars, on a night that was supposed to be a relaxing date evening between me and my boyfriend. I am a sushi fanatic, so I was very excited. Unfortunately, we were greeted with rude servers who took their time doing anything and evertyhing, even though the restaurant was deserted - there were only two other tables seated. I ordered a roll of sushi that was not fresh and tasted extremely fishy. I also ordered a chicken skewer that was tough dark meat with so much fat I couldn't eat it. My boyfriend ordered a lobster tail that came out on a whimpy piece of old lettuce. The meat of the lobster tail was dry and looked shrivelled. The lobster tasted even fishier than the sushi. In disguist, he ordered some steak that was equally as terrible. The server and sushi chef frequently stared at our table (probably because they knew how terrible our food was and wanted to see whether or not we would eat it lol) and we ended up not eating anything we ordered. I honestly want to gag every time i think about biting into that fishy lobster. Please spare yourselves a huge pocketfull of money and pain and DO NOT visit this horrible restaurant!

Do not waste your time or money.

Bad food, worse service. Truly one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. I cannot figure out why people go there. Anyone who tells me they like this place looses all credibility in matters of cuisine to me.

To be avoided like the Plague!

My wife and I went for lunch, and this was the worst excuse for a sushi restaurant that I have ever endured. The entire experience was third rate, at best! It was like an amatuer effort at Japanese dining! Sorry, but the best that Sekisui has to offer Chattanooga, is to turn off the lights and close the doors...Permanently!

The Horrible Service

They do not have the concept of lunch hour It took 2 hours to finish lunch The restaurant is filled with unprofessional workers. They have only 4 forks for 9 people. One of my co-workers started eating only rice with a chopstick for a long time because the main food came out after 20 to 30 minutes went by. I also engaged in a long argument with our waiter because he kept saying that he gave us the "Sesame Chicken" that we never saw at all. The soups were ready only when the bills came. Many of my friends showed an interest in this restaurant because of the wide variety of cuisine available, but they also remarked that the taste was not good.

Never again!! Small plates, minced meat in sushi.

I was disappointed with both the service and quality of the food when my beau and I dined here for lunch. Our server refused to allow time to peruse the menu- or offer any help in our selections. I had Teriyaki Salmon, 'minced meat' Spicy Tuna Roll and Miso soup. My Beau had Sesame Chicken, the same Spicy Tuna, and Miso soup. My Salmon was over cooked and dry. His Chicken wasnt anything but fatty dark meat pieces deep fried. When we couldn't get a refill on our drinks, Id had enough. If I were a walk out type of person, I would have ditched the check- it would have been easy with our phantom server. In the end, we paid nearly $25 for a meal that didnt sustain either of us. I will never eat here again. If I want sub-par dining I will eat at Taco Bell.
